Just received these boots today! I was a little worried
about the fit after reading the reviews, Do i have skinny
ankles and calves or not?! They fit true to your foot
measurement. Yes the ankles have room, but the strap is
adjustable, I thought that after wearing them, if they need
to be more snug i could have a shoe repair shop add extra
holes. They are slipping in the heal, but again, after
reading the other reviews, i can purchase heel slips to fix
that problem. The point is, after looking around in stores
and on line for good quality, well made, all leather,
classic boots....these are the real deal! worth every penny.
I can't wait to prepare them for wear, a leather sealer, and
get out there and hit the road. YIPEE!

These boots are one of the best investments I've ever made!
They have protected my feet from some potentially awful
construction injuries as well as keeping my ankles safe and
secure while hiking throughout the northwest. The treads are
phenomenal and very sturdy. They are extremely comfortable
and are my go-to shoe for any outdoor adventure. The only
downside to this boot is that it's not 100% waterproof. The
ankle lace-up doesn't close entirely so there are a couple
of points where water can get in if you step in a
particularly deep puddle. Otherwise, it is an amazing boot
and I would highly recommend it!

I love these boots. Timberland's leather is in my shopping
experience unique in its suppleness (particularly impressive
as it is waterproof). The boot last; both White Ledge and
Chocorua works well for me. Both styles "mold to your feet,"
as another reviewer commented, and also seem to support my
gait throughout the roll of the foot better than any other
shoes, sneakers included. As a person with a bad knee, I
find this stability /support very valuable. Also, they are
not heavy or klunky, even though I wear hiking boots 1/2
size larger than sneakers. Well shaped toebox, too just
rounded enough. True to size, in that I don't have to settle
for too wide of a shoe in order to have enough length and
toe box height to spread out my toes when I step down.
Terrific product, and I highly recommend it.

I hiked all over the South Island of New Zealand with them
in early February 2011 (summer there), having left my home
in NJ after it had sleeted all night (winter here). They
kept me safe, dry, and comfortable. They were versatile and
great in Fiordland (cooler and wetter) where I hiked 2 miles
to see Mt. Cook, over swing bridges, up rocky slopes and
then onto slippery conditions on the way back due to rain. I
felt that they were adequate in size (Medium width) so I
could fit my orthotics in them with no trouble. Sometimes
the shoelaces became untied, and that was the only negative.
They were the best! Now my sister is buying a pair!

I just received these today. I haven't worn them outside
yet, but I wanted to comment on the width. I have wide feet
and noticed that these boots were only offered in medium
width. I was worried about this of course, because medium
width shoes typically are too narrow for my feet. However, I
was very pleased that these boots were wide enough for my
feet and for winter socks. That being said, if you have
medium or narrow feet, you might want to go a half size
down, but if your feet are wide, do buy these in your
regular size and they will fit GREAT.
